What we do

General dentistry,
for the whole family.

Check-ups and dental hygiene, fillings, root canal treatment under the microscope, crowns, bridges and implants, aligners, children's dentistry and emergency care.

We work closely with a dental laboratory in the same building, so adjustments often take minutes instead of days.

New to Switzerland?

Good to know
before your first visit.

In Switzerland, basic health insurance does not cover routine dental treatment. Dental care is paid privately, unless you hold specific supplementary cover.

You do not need a referral, so you can register with us directly. Our everyday language is German; if English is easier for you, please mention it when you request an appointment.

Before any larger treatment you receive a written cost estimate, which you can submit to your insurer if you have supplementary cover.

Your first visit

We listen first,
then we treat.

We take time for your concerns, examine carefully and go through your medical history, with digital X-rays if needed. Then we explain the options in plain language.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment. Registration forms are available in German, and reception will go through them with you at the practice.

Questions

What people ask
before they come.

Do you treat patients in English?
Yes. German is our everyday language, and we also treat in English. Just mention it when you request an appointment, so we can plan accordingly.
Does my insurance cover dental treatment?
Swiss basic insurance covers dental treatment only in exceptional cases, for example after an accident or with certain serious conditions. Many supplementary policies contribute to hygiene visits or prosthetics. We provide a written estimate before larger treatments.
Can I register as a new patient?
Yes, and you are welcome to. Simply request a first appointment; you do not need a referral and you do not need to deregister anywhere.
I am nervous about dental treatment.
Tell us. We work at your pace, explain every step and take the time you need.
What if I have a dental emergency?
Call us during opening hours on 061 361 48 48 and we will try to see you the same day. Outside our hours, the medical emergency call centre arranges the dentist on duty for Basel and Baselland around the clock: 061 261 15 15.
